Study: Words connected with football

Football Study the words in bold. They are all connected with football. Try to guess their meaning from the rest of the sentence. (Check in a dictionary if you are not sure.)
  • Football players wear boots on their feet.
  • A player dribbles the ball by passing it between his or her feet with short kicks.
  • A person who likes football very much is called a football fan.
  • One player tried to take the ball from another player, but he did it badly and fouled the other player.
  • The goalkeeper stops the ball going into the goal.
  • The players kick the ball towards the goal.
